Development of society occurs only in fields where that collective will is sufficiently strong and seeking expression. Development strategies will be most effective when they focus on identifying areas where the social will is mature and provide better means for the awakened social energy to express itself. Only those initiatives that are in concordance with this subconscious urge will gain momentum and multiply. We believe that the participatory approach by motivating, preparing and involving people best suited to decide and implement development schemes. Sustainable development is achieved by involving the communities with understanding to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Large scale infrastructure or industrial developments, at the national level or at the state level, always have been seen to incur social issues and associated costs. We assist our Clients in impact assessment studies, enhance social benefits, prepare resettlement & rehabilitation action plans and optimise social costs.

JPS Team of Social Development, Public Health & Surveys (SDPHS) Business Unit emphasizes the importance of applying critical gender analysis in all areas of social life and its impact on areas such as infrastructures, natural resources, environment, education, and health. Our team focuses on analyzing linkages between society and natural and built environments, work and globalization, and institutions, policy and regional development from a gender analytical perspective. Our Team also design and implement evaluations and reviews to assist programs to respond to the changing needs of their clients, funding agencies.

Child malnutrition severely jeopardizes, reduces or impairs prospects for productive social participation in adulthood. Furthermore, malnutrition perpetuates the intergenerational reproduction of poverty, thus creating a vicious circle that prevents social improvement and equity.

SDPHS also designs and conducts complex national, regional and project based surveys as well as economic, statistical, epidemiological, and social policy research for government agencies and commercial clients across the areas of infrastructure, development, health, environment and education.
